How does coaching actually work?
If you are new to the world of coaching, you may wonder what coaching sessions are like, and what the process is. Here's a quick guide.
Initial Discovery Session
Offered at no charge, this is a first contact conversation usually conducted online. We chat for typically half an hour, we ask questions, and we decide if we would like to work together. There is no obligation on either side at this stage and you may be speaking with a range of coaches before committing.
It's important the chemistry is right between us as coach and client so that we can build a trusting and honest working relationship.


Creating The Package
We will agree how many coaching sessons will be needed over what timescale, depending on what you are trying to achieve. These one-to-one sessions will normally be 60 or 90 minutes each, delivered online via Zoom.
Sometimes 'homework' between sessions can be helpful.

Coaching Sessions
You will be in charge of everything we discuss during sessions. At the start of each session we will agree what you want to achieve during the session, in line with your goals for the whole package of coaching.

I will listen to you, ask insightful questions, challenge your thinking and support you. I have a range of tools and techniques to offer you for particular situations.

Sessions can be powerful and deep; but it will always be your choice as to where the conversation goes.
